This new sleeveless shirt has a modern balance created by incorporating different lapel designs on the left and right sides.
This season's theme, “Beyond the haze (unreachable reality),” is inspired by the work of German abstract painter Gerhard Richter and the concepts he tried to express.
We attempted to develop the “arbitrariness” found in his abstract paintings, in which he used a squeegee (a board-like tool used in place of a brush to spread paint).
The shirt, with its randomly selected lapels of different shapes, expresses a new sense of value and beauty born out of the contingency of the shirt.
Under his suggestion of “making everything equally important and making everything equally unimportant,” we sought to see if we could equate the act of choosing a newly drawn design with an existing design, and if there could be any uniqueness in it.
The shirts are made of rayon-blend textile with supple texture and drape, and they invite a mature and sophisticated style with an elegant mood.
The buttons, which are not positioned at the front or at the lapel but are placed arbitrarily, are an original thematic accent that brings the whole piece together sharply.
This is a piece that can be worn with the attached co-woven belt to mark the waist, or buttoned up without a belt for a more relaxed mood, giving it a variety of looks in your daily styling.
