This season's theme, ‘Forms of Silence,’ draws inspiration from the works of sculptor Isamu Noguchi and the concepts he sought to express.
Among these, we focused on the perspective of ‘Entrusted Surface / Surface Fluidity’ and developed it into a design concept.
The cut lines, refined from the spiral flow of surfaces seen in his sculptures and lighting, provide subtle accents within a minimal presence.
By utilizing its seam to create an irregular volume throughout, we crafted a flared skirt that embodies a new modern elegance.
Using denim with just the right thickness and supple texture ensures the silhouette remains beautifully maintained.
Crafted from denim yet embodying AKIRANAKA's signature modern cutting and context, this skirt invites towards an unpretentious style of mature women.
