Design stripe dress featuring an original form that creates a modern balance unlike any other.
This season's theme, ‘Forms of Silence,’ draws inspiration from the works of sculptor Isamu Noguchi and the concepts he sought to express.
Among these, we focused on the element of ‘physicality’ and developed it into design.
Like he believed that sculpture as a device in the performing arts could transform space into something imbued with meaning and emotion by relating it to the body, we visually expressed the beauty inherent in bodily movement and gesture.
The body, designed using an approach that folds the four corners toward the center like a Japanese furoshiki cloth, creates an original cocoon-like silhouette and drape by passing the body through the flat fabric.
Additionally, by attaching a light, flared skirt to the hem to draw a modern, balanced mermaid line, we formed a dress with an entirely new silhouette.
The cotton-nylon striped fabric used for the textile offers just the right amount of crispness, allowing it to maintain its beautiful form while enveloping a light, refreshing feel.
This piece, with its refined presence yet powerful individuality, offers a touch of excitement and witty elegance for adults that takes everyday wear a step further.
