The dress embodying this season's theme, "Proof of Oblivion," was developed from the "contingency" found in the work of the artist Christian Boltanski. It expresses the "transformation of identity" that occurs when two different dresses (=identities) are joined together.
The pleats at the sides are made of a triacetate-based material with beautiful shading and a sense of fall, while the front and back body is made of a cotton material with a unique crinkled texture. The combination of the two textures creates a modern contrast, while at the same time creates a beautiful balance that emphasizes vertical lines.
In addition, the brass ring attached to the end of the delicate belt symbolizes the essential theme of Boltanski's work, "identity and memory," expressing the fragility and preciousness of its existence.
