This half-sleeved dress has a new modern balance created by incorporating different lapel designs on the left and right sides.
This season's theme, “Beyond the haze (unreachable reality),” was inspired by the work of German abstract painter Gerhard Richter and the concepts he tried to express.
We attempted to develop the “arbitrariness” found in his abstract paintings, in which he used a squeegee (a board-like tool used in place of a brush to spread paint).
The dress, with its randomly selected lapels of different shapes, expresses the new sense of value and beauty that is born in the contingency.
Under his suggestion of “making everything equally important and making everything equally unimportant,” we sought to see if we could equate the act of choosing a newly drawn design with an existing design, and if there could be any uniqueness in it.
The material used was back satin georgette with a beautifully falling feel, giving the garment a sophisticated, adult appearance with a certain individuality.
A delicate, transparent chiffon belt is used to mark the waist, giving the entire dress a luxurious mood.
The buttons, which are not positioned at the front or at the lapels, but are placed arbitrarily, are also an original thematic accent, and the attention to detail is evident in every detail.
This season's airy and artistic piece invites you to step out of your everyday attire into an intellectual appearance.
