This season's theme, “Wandering colors,” was inspired by the work of American abstract painter Mark Rothko and the concepts he tried to express.
We sublimated into our designs the viewpoints we found in his work of “detachment from figuration” and “creation of known details independent of composition."
The original image of the dress is updated in a modern way by adding a sense of freedom and individuality to the dress with the beautiful décolleté and cape-like detailing on the top part of the dress, derived from AKIRANAKA's specialty cutting, is complemented by the waist part with its flowing lines and the skirt part with its bold volume that shows an elegant appearance, etc.
Classic details (figuration) are transformed into abstract to create a new balance.
The triacetate-based georgette used as the material produces a luxurious atmosphere and a sophisticated adult appearance.
The original elegance of the dress gives the wearer a wealth of creativity and leads to an artistic style.
