This half-sleeve jacket features an asymmetrical front cut, creating a modern, balanced silhouette.
The theme for this season, "Beyond the haze" (an unattainable reality), draws inspiration from the works of German abstract painter Gerhard Richter and the concepts he sought to express. In particular, we developed the design based on the "arbitrariness" discovered in his abstract paintings. The jacket features deliberately mismatched, randomly selected front cuts, combining them into one piece. This expression embodies new values and beauty that arise from their inherent randomness. We explored whether the act of choosing between newly created designs and existing ones can be equated, and whether uniqueness can be found within this process.
Crafted from a high-quality wool-blend textile, the jacket exudes a distinctive elegance within its minimalistic form. The irregular button placement further imbues it with AKIRANAKA’s unique personality.
The light, boxy silhouette offers a relaxed yet refined style, providing the wearer with a sense of rich sensibility and strong attitude.
