The design of this half-sleeved dress incorporates elements of two different dresses to create a creative nuance.
This season's theme, “Beyond the haze (unreachable reality),” was inspired by the works of German abstract painter Gerhard Richter and the concepts he tried to express.
We focused on the concept of “Schein” (*), which he tried to express, and wondered if we could layer a new elegance and intelligence to the wearer by incorporating Schein, which separates us from reality, as a symbolic design. We tried to create a new layer of elegance and intelligence for the wearer.
The dress is made of a wool blend with a luxurious air, and has a unique double-breasted front that seems to emerge naturally from the bodice seam.
The intention is to equate the figurative with the abstract, the concealing with the revealing, and the “visible with the invisible” represents the shine that separates us from reality.
The large overlap created at the front acts like a vent toward the hem, and is completed as a detail that creates a subtle femininity that can be glimpsed in the act of wearing.
The minimalist body is accented by the use of primitive-looking shell buttons on the reverse side, adding a subtle accent.
This piece of clothing, which has a quiet appearance yet radiates an unmistakable individuality, not only leads to a sophisticated adult style, but also invites you to an intellectual mood clothed in artistry.
