This season, we have taken a fresh look at what we are losing from the perspective of "memory and oblivion / existence and absence / loss of identity (ID)" as captured in the creative work of artist Christian Boltanski, and have attempted to express "lingering memories in absence" and "existence in oblivion" as a question of it.
This season's graphic series, titled "Guerbois," is named after a Parisian café where artists and literary scholars gathered for disscussions since the 1850s, symbolizing the atmosphere of the current season.
The original graphics created in the atelier are abstractly layered colors with brushwork that dares to leave the feel of the brushstrokes, and are painted with a unique color expression that makes neighboring colors appear to blend together.
In order to create an item that can be worn as if it were a painting, each part of the dress is painted with a different graphic, as if the garment were a campus, embodying a speciality that cannot be expressed with ordinary graphics.
The subtle touches and color contrasts that are concealed in this season's context produce a one-of-a-kind presence.
The shirtdress is cleanly and minimally tailored, and its individuality resides in AKIRANAKA's iconic sharp cutting and collar balance, and a belt made of the same material can be used to mark the waist for a feminine and elegant mood.
