This season, we have taken a fresh look at what we are losing from the perspective of "memory and oblivion / existence and absence / loss of identity (ID)" as captured in the creative work of artist Christian Boltanski, and have attempted to express "lingering memories in absence" and "existence in oblivion" as a question of it.
The dress, derived from the approach of "loss and transformation of ID by size (volume)," expresses the loss of each original ID and its transformation into a new ID by docking dresses of different sizes on the upper and lower sides.
The oversized body is made of countless tucks, which combine with the skirt to give it a three-dimensional look.
Additionally, new details such as irregularly placed buttons and flared pocket flaps sublimated to resemble peplums are also updated as decorations that differ from the previous intention, embodying the contextuality encompassed in this season's theme.
The material is a textile with a unique texture and supple fall, and its delicate texture flutters with movement, producing an adult elegance.
This dress can be worn as a day dress with a modern air of the season, and leads to a woman's outfit with an esprit while wearing AKIRANAKA's unique character.
